Music
Lee plays piano in Irregular Order, a Washington, D.C. band with one subject: Capitol Hill. Matthew Chervenak sings and plays guitar.
The name is a Hill joke. "Regular order" is the textbook path a bill takes through committee, markup and a floor vote. The songs are wry but fond: they want Congress to work.
Hey Congress
The band's first album has seven original songs about how America makes its laws.
- Alphabet Soup: keeping an eye on the federal agencies
- The Parliamentarian: the chamber's rules expert
- More Sides Now: every issue has more than two sides
- K Street Blues: a lobbyist's lament
- Take It Back: Congress can reclaim the power it has given away
- Purple Babies: what happens when red and blue get together
- Hey Congress: a plea for the legislature to act
